The Hollow Rule of the Powerless Elite
When force becomes the only system left, when power is wielded without wisdom or purpose, the only true system that remains is that of the gods — untouchable, unreachable by men who have abandoned all but their own indulgence. The rulers of today, the so-called elites, have lost sight of anything greater than themselves.
They do not pursue knowledge.
They do not advance science.
They do not foster the arts.
They do not seek to uplift or inspire.
Instead, they revel in leisure, in pleasure, in the distractions of wealth, while the world beneath them groans for sustenance.
A Class Without Vision
The men at the top — the politicians, the oligarchs, the billionaires — have become detached from the reality they govern. Their only ambition is to sustain their own power, their own comfort. They mistake stagnation for stability, and in their complacency, they leave the world to rot.
- Science ignored, because understanding is dangerous.
- Literature abandoned, because history is an inconvenience.
- Art dismissed, because beauty nor truth are not profitable.
This is not leadership. This is not vision. This is the death spiral of a civilization that has given itself over to a ruling class without purpose.
The Gods Do Not Answer the Foolish
When a society reaches this point — where those in power are blind to anything beyond their own indulgence — the gods do not intervene. They watch. They wait. Because it is not divine wrath that topples such men. It is their own ignorance, their own refusal to acknowledge the hunger that festers beneath them.
A body that is starved will turn against itself. A world that is denied sustenance will tear down those who hoard it.
And when that moment comes, no amount of wealth, no fortress of gold, no illusion of control will shield the powerful from the reckoning they have sown.
The gods remain silent, for they do not waste their breath on men who refuse to listen.
